ARTICLES
Welcome to the Practical Karate Articles hub.
I've always been an avid reader and thinker. As a student at school I always loved to question rather than accept, a trait that was finely tuned at University and subsequently as a doctoral student and University tutor. My habit of asking questions, and my interest in research have led me to some interesting questions and answers over the years. The articles presented here include some of the ideas I've had and information I've found over my short time in training. They are presented here as a free resource for you to enjoy. It's not about me though, this site is all about the sharing of information, and a number of highly respected martial arts writers have contributed articles too.
At the end of each article I've included links to books and equipment related to the topic at hand. They're there to help you find fresh answers to help with your training.

The authors strongly recommend consulting a qualified martial arts/self protection instructor and a fully qualified medical practitioner before engaging in any new programme of training.
