INSTRUCTOR BARNEY ANNETTS

Barney joined DART at the RGS High Wycombe club in September 2015.

Barney is an occasional coach at our evening classes. He has enjoyed cross-training with Instructors such as Reality Check coaches Jay Cooper, Simon Sheridan and K1 Champion Lei Bridges. He has also trained with Ju Jitsu Instructor Alan Murphy and Karate Unity’s Chris Hanson. Barney has also trained with Progressive Karate’s Leigh Simms, Bill Burgar, and Graham Palmer. In addition he has also enjoyed attending seminars in BJJ with Scottish MMA fighter Tom Hepburn. He is a regular participant in Sim Days, clocking up the highest attendance record, and has begun support coaching on these.

Barney gained his 1st Dan and joined the Instructors in DART Karate in July 2021. He achieved his 2nd Dan in December 2023.

A fully insured Instructor with the BCKA, Barney has an enhanced DBS, takes part in regular safeguarding training and is a qualified First Aider.
 

Barney is a 4th year student at the University of Birmingham and joins us throughout the year.
